This pamphlet was originally published as a proposal for the exhibition How To Be An Artist. It was distributed to numerous regional galleries across the UK, specifically (according to its liner notes) to “all those that we think it worthwhile sending it to”.

This pamphlet was originally published for all those that bought a copy of How To Be An Artist. The reason for it being published is because the last page from the book was omitted by mistake. This mistake was not done by design.

$20,000 is the second, updated edition of How To Be An Artist.
