Following the single All You Need Is Love, The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu’s first album 1987 (What The Fuck Is Going On?) continued the style of heavy cut & paste sampling, beatbox rhythms and King Boy D’s Scottish raps.

Two months after the original version of their debut single had caused a minor stir with record companies The JAMs released All You Need Is Love (106bpm), an edited version with the MC5 and Beatles samples removed from the intro.

All You Need Is Love is The JAMs’ debut single released in early March 1987 and marks the starting point of the creative partnership between Jimmy Cauty and Bill Drummond.
