{"id":4507,"date":"2020-09-30T18:59:49","date_gmt":"2020-09-30T16:59:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/klf.de\/home\/?p=4507"},"modified":"2020-09-30T20:32:10","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T18:32:10","slug":"four-plays-forewords","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/klf.de\/home\/four-plays-forewords\/","title":{"rendered":"Four Plays And Forewords"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another newsletter from Penkiln Burn just arrived in our mailboxes, with Bill Drummond sharing a number of Forty Second Plays he wrote earlier this month titled <em>The New River Four<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default su-quote-has-cite\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">At times Bill Drummond is asked to pass comment.<\/p>\n<p>At times Bill Drummond responds to being asked to pass comment by instigating one of his other selves to write a Forty Second Play.<\/p>\n<p>One of these other selves takes the name Tenzing Scott Brown.<\/p>\n<p>Four of these Forty Second Plays were written at the corner table of the New River Caf\u00e9, N16.<\/p>\n<p>They were written over a period of four days in early September 2020.<span class=\"su-quote-cite\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.penkilnburn.com\/the-new-river-four\/\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Drummond<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div>\n<p>All four plays can be found and read on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.penkilnburn.com\/the-new-river-four\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Penkiln Burn website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Bill has written a fifth play titled <em>Questions, Questions, Questions<\/em> which provides the foreword to the book <em>questions<\/em> written by Andrew Shaw and published by The Silent Academy in May 2020.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-quote su-quote-style-default su-quote-has-cite\"><div class=\"su-quote-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">In questions, Andrew Shaw offers an alternative to the culture of craved certainty is a sequence of non-literal questions designed to prompt non- literal responses. These questions are not interested in answers. These questions seek to sustain the mind in free fall. The book produces an atmosphere of magical not-knowing. The book offers possibility to engage with your mind at an aspect that is intuitive and true. It is in the not-knowing that that mind goes seeking.
